Let's Find it Out!!!! About Pet.
Ok, I've been using beast mastery for 6 months now and a few other Rangers and I discovered how to train an Elder Pet and posted it on another Ranger forum (can't link to it). I have an Elder Warthog.
Later, many of us have found ways to train Dire and Hearty (although Hearty seems to be the easily to get). I really think I know a lot of pets but this one dude used a spider and our random team lost and he was like "Spider owns Warthog anyday!". I have never captured a Spider but I BELIEVE all pets are the same. Spider is on elder evolution as far as I know. It could be on Dire evolution and that's why it does a bit more damage. Anyhow, I am tired of people claiming THEY KNOW all about beast mastery. I want to learn and I want to find out exactly if that Spider is indeed SUPERIOR than other pets. A few things that have not been confirmed: 1.) Pet's Damage type. Most damage type is determined by the "sound". Has naybody actually tested Moa Bird/Spider/Lizard and see if Warrior's Shield Up reduce their damage? Because if it's really "piercing" damage then Shield Up should be able to reduce the damage. I dare say it does not but I need proof. I think pet's damage type is just for the sound effect. It serves no real purpose. 2.) Bear has a special attack "Brutal Mauling". As far as I know that skill has no effect at all. Some even claim it slows down bear's attack. 3.) Spider can posion? WTF???!!! 4.) Is Elder pet really better? Many Rangers have found out that Elder pet does not have that +3 damage. Elder pet is just an un-evolved pet. There's no bonus/penalty on health/damage. Dire pet has +2 damage but suffers -60 health. I think people claim that Elder has +3 damage because they used Spider to test for it. Maybe Spider is on Dire?? If you know for a fact that Spider is better and has evidence, please show us. There is already a thread dedicated to finding out all about pets, pet stats, etc and sharing the finding's and information with the community. You'll find the thread in the Community Works Forum (http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/f...play.php?f=22).
Ultimate Pet Guide: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=67761 I'd suggest you read that whole thread through from start to finish and then post in there if you still have any questions. Thread Closed. |
